Tom and I flew to South Dakota to shoot an ad for a candidate running for Attorney General of the state. It took 3 flights to get here. Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta. Atlanta to St Paul. St Paul to Rapid City.

I’m not sure why they call it Rapid City, nothing moves fast here except the highways. I was originally bummed to be flying to South Dakota of all places, but we shot the entire day in Custard State Park, and it was beautiful.

This guy down below is Jim. He’s our “grip.” He’s actually a location scout, but beggars can’t be choosers in South Dakota. He didn’t know shit about the gear he was driving around, but he sure knew a lot about where we were.

It’s fucking cold here, even at the end of April. It’s going to snow tomorrow, and there’s more work to be done. Snow always looks great on camera, though π
